Description:

The SIM is a Modular, Rectangular, Multicontact, and Multifunctional connector.
It’s available in metallic or composite versions, shielded or unshielded, and qualified according to the EN 4165 spec. It consists of standard or flanged mount receptacles that can be assembled side by side on a panel, standard or rack and panel plugs with easily removable click-in modules. Two shell types are available: 2 modules and 4 modules. There are two mating types: clicker nut and rack panel plug. When mating the plug to the receptacle, polarization is mechanically ensured by an asymmetrical mounting screw. The coupling screw includes a polarizing system with 6 versions of hexagonal nuts and keys, providing 36 keying combinations. The shielded versions (SIM 2D and SIM 2B) provide an shielding effectiveness of 50 dB at 100 MHz and 30 dB at 1 GHz. A broad range of rear accessories (covers and cable clamp) complete the connectors. The SIM connector is fully intermatable with connectors complying with standards MBBN 3330 and EN4165.

Features & Benefits:

  • Modularity- Flexibility in design (RF, Power, Signal, Fiber optic & Ethernet).

  • Rectangular -Space efficiency due to compact design, more power in less space.

  • Sealed - Excellent performances due to silicon overmolding process that meets or exceeds IP66 / IP68 / IP69K.

  • Shielded - High EMI shielding performances.

  • Comes in Metallic or Composite versions (weight saving).

  • Fire/Smoke/Toxicity conform to ABD0031 and FAR 25853

  • Corrison Resistance: tested up to 500hrs of salt spray, available in Olive Drab Cadnium, Bright Nickel, Black Nickel.
