Procurement Cost Analyst

Summary of essential job functions

·         Solicit, receive and analyze supplier quotes to ensure reasonable price and compliance to design specifications.  Identify items that will be subcontract items and identify risk associated with delivery or technical issues or high-risk suppliers.

·         Develop materials cost proposals and review and resolve discrepancies with proposal and pricing requirements.  Provide analysis and support for evaluation of actual purchase performance against material budget.

·         Review, analyze and price the Bill of Materials (BOM) and the Labor Cost, coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Purchasing and Finance to define requirements.

·         Analyze materials costs, schedule and performance in support of bid and proposal activity and ongoing price variance analysis

·         Develops estimates from historical data, parametric analysis, technical requirements and diverse sources of data.

 

Skills/Qualifications

·         Two (2) years of experience in materials, procurement or manufacturing, preferably with experience in high-mix electronics and/or Defense industry;

·         Strong computer experience, in particular exceptional Excel skills and good knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

·         Effective English communication skills, both verbal and written

·         Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills;

·         Exceptional attention to detail and ability to recognize erroneous data or information and make well-reasoned judgment calls.

·         Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality.

General Description:

The focus regarding this position will be to assist in product marketing by giving technical assistance to customers, aiding in price quotations and the development of marketing materials and projects.  The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal / communication and written English skills.  Due to the nature of this position a well-groomed, people-oriented person that is dedicated to accuracy would be best suited.  Maturity and judgment are a must.  This person will report to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

 

Summary of essential job functions

·         Pricing and Technical assistance to customers

·         Works with marketing/sales personnel and contact with outside vendors, customers and sales             people

·         Review customer specifications / Design proposals to customers

·         Monthly Forecasting activity

·         Quote follow-up to secure monthly order numbers

Required Skills

The basic function of the Manufacturing Technician is to provide technical support to manufacturing personnel.  Assists the Manufacturing Engineer in developing documentation and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment failures, build test fixtures and maintain tooling.

  • Must have experience with tools required for cable assembly
  • Must be able to work from schematics, blueprints, and/or verbal instructions
  • Will disassemble, modify, rework and reassemble manufacturing equipment
  • Will build test fixtures and associated tooling
  • Assists in development of manufacturing/inspection processes, tooling and methods
  • Will troubleshoot manufacturing, inspection and test problems
  • Will perform weekly and monthly assembly equipment Preventive Maintenance

 

Skills/Qualifications

  • Able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Experience using volt/ohm meter
  • Soldering, reading wiring diagrams
  • Continuity and Hi-Pot testing experience desirable

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent experience preferred

Staff Accountant

Job Description:

The primary job function of the Staff Accountant will be to analyze, determine and implement accounting control procedures and methods.  Responsibilities include accuracy, preparation, and analysis of financial data, as well as, supporting the management team with timely reporting.  This individual will also work closely with other key departments, as well as participating heavily in the month-end closing process. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Prepare and enter monthly adjusting journal entries, standard and accrual entries.
  • Preparation and analysis of all monthly work papers.
  • Preparation of payroll entries.
  • Assist in monthly cash management reporting.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Audit monthly collection/disbursement transactions.
  • Produce and distribute weekly/daily orders and revenue report.
  • Assist in preparation of fixed asset reporting and maintenance.
  • Assist in end of month headquarter reporting requirements.
  • Ad-hoc reporting in support of Marketing/Operations departments.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Sound understanding of accounting principles in a manufacturing environment, including chart of accounts structure, operational flow of materials to income from an accounting perspective, and profit recognition in a standard cost environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel including a thorough understanding of the use and functionality of pivot tables.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to present highly technical information in a nontechnical format
  • Must be self-starter and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting to meet critical deadlines.

Recommended Skills:

Education:

  • Required: Four years college with courses in accounting, business, or equivalent plus 3-5 years experience.

Cable Assembler

Job Summary

The basic function of the Assembler is to perform bench or line assembly operations using approved company process documentation/equipment to produce electrical cabling products.  Methods of assembly and sequence are specified by verbal and written instructions.  The person in this position works under moderate supervision.

 

Summary of essential job functions

  • Read instructions such as process details, diagrams, customer-supplier prints, etc. to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly
  • Prepare cut cable for subsequent operations
  • Use various hand tools (e.g. cutters, wire strippers, screwdrivers, etc.) to remove cable jacket, filler, shielding and to apply any parts that are called for in process documentation
  • Using approved hand tools and documentation, plug terminated wires into appropriate connector.
  • Apply appropriate labels to wires, connectors, and/or cables.
  • Inspect work during and after completion for compliance to documented standards
  • In certain cases, may test wiring continuity with continuity tester

 

Skills/Qualifications

  • Must have experience manufacturing cable assemblies/wire harnesses
  • Soldering experience is a plus
  • J-STD-001 and IPC-WHMA-A-620 certified

 

Educational Requirements

  • Must be able to read and write English

 

Required Training

  • 2 to 4 years cable assembly experience
